The Household Division is a primarily ceremonial formation of the British Columbia Army, providing ceremonial and protective functions associated with the Sovereign.

The Household Division is comprised of the Governor General's Horse Guards and the Governor General's Foot Guards.

The Governor General's Foot Guards' primary duty is to provide security at both the Parliament Buildings and Cary Castle, the official Residence of the Governor General, as well as that in Victoria of the British Columbian monarch.
